Keek Bielby is a representational oil painter. She paints still lifes, landscapes, barns and animals. She has been an artist her entire life, but now she finds time to paint daily.
Keek spends her winters in Tucson, Arizona and has a studio overlooking the Catalina mountains. Spring, summer and fall is spent in a small, rural town in Northwest Indiana, where she lives on a 10-acre cherry farm. A few years ago, the 150-year-old barn on the property was renovated into her art studio and gallery.
Keek has studied with several notable artists over the years, primarily with Brenda Semanick of southern Arizona, who mentored her for almost ten years before her sudden death in 2019. Others who have mentored her are Phil Starke, Qiang Huang, Sarah Webber and Derek Penix.
Keek is also the very proud mother of Erin Hornyak, creator and owner of navyBLEU.
